Knock-knock!

Just a day into our immersion and we get straight to work!

Everyone had to be extra quick and efficient because the goal was to pre-assess ALL the farmers’ knowledge, attitude and practices towards personal protective equipment. We also needed to get their weight and height, and to ask them a few questions about their pesticide use, for research purposes. We thought it would be a hassle for them to gather at one venue so we decided to get our data through a house-to-house survey. We were accompanied by two of our core group members who reside in the sitio.

The fact that Sitio Rero-an—Zone 6 and 7 of Barangay Acao—is a big place didn’t make it any easier. And because it’s bukid life, there seemed to be even more ground to cover… YES, THERE WAS A LOT OF GROUND.

But this didn’t faze us one bit. Being from the bukid (Miag-ao) ourselves, we figured this would be a walk in the park. We then divided into two groups (one for each zone), armed ourselves with pens, survey forms and umbrellas, and finally set out!

Sure enough a few hours later, we had the data we needed. Just another productive day for Team Greenfinity!
