Just the morning after Synergy, our eyebags puffing out from staying up late and cleaning 'til 2am, literally squeezing ourselves in Raf's car like sardines in a small can, our luggage blocking the rear view - oh, it wasn't easy to get to the sitio but who cares? We've been waiting for this day!

All those months of imagining what our room would look like and how much change we're going to adjust to, all those days of going window shopping at Ace Hardware, fantasizing about buying things for our new home, the endless grocery list we're preparing for our 6-week stay, just goes to show how excited we are for community immersion. And now we have moved in!

The farmers gave us 3 classrooms but we decided to use only one for the whole team because we figured it would come in handy to stay together even during the night, just in case we had to work past our bedtime, and of course, more bonding time for the group. Our room has a small sink and a comfort room. It comes with a free projector too that we can use to rehearse our presentations and for random movie nights. So who needs a theatre when we have our own big screen? 

There's a small hut just behind the school, with a kitchen, fully equipped with firewood, grills, a table and a few chairs that we could use. The farmers also provided us with cooking utensils so we could cook to our hearts' content. We are probably one of the luckiest teams. The farmers are very hospitable.

Upon hearing that one of our members loves swings, one of the farmers immediately offered us his duyan and installed it under the mango tree in the front yard of the school. Now we have our own duyan to enjoy for the rest of our days in the sitio.
